So Much is New

The speed of change in our lives can be subtle and slow or it can be in-your-face and fast. As I widen my areas of interest with my studies in natural holistic nutrition (see my many posts on this), I am making many beneficial changes in my daily practices, my knowledge base, my lifestyle, our home, and our diet.

I’ll capture a few.

Each morning, I drink almost 1 litre (4 cups) of Santevia-filtered water, the last one cup with the juice of half an organic lemon. Also each morning, I give myself healing Reiki, which helps me to zero in on each part of my body and consider its wellness. Every other morning, I give myself an almond oil massage before showering. Each morning, I add 3 or 4 litres of tap water to the Santevia holding tank.

persian_violetWe have a Persian Violet beside our bed to absorb carbon dioxide as we sleep and a Himalayan Salt Candle Holder in the centre of the house, to purify the air of cooking odours and add negative ions to the atmosphere.

On our deck, newly installed by our contractor son, I have a large window box filled with herbs -  cilantro, stevia, thyme, sage, parsley, oregano, and mint – and they’re loving the sun that we’ve been getting. I have a small pot of rosemary, which I drink for the clarity it brings to my thinking. Sip, sip.

What else? Lots more, like thinking of new products and new categories for the webstore. We’ll be adding Fill Your Own “stylish stainless steel water bottles” in their own category of Drink Bottles as soon as we can get around to it. Our shipment of them arrives today! And a category of SuperFoods will be coming soon.

I have umpteen books – some new, some borrowed from the library – such as Food Energetics by Steve Gagné, and Doctor Yourself by Andrew Saul, and Reiki: The Healing Touch First & Second Degree Manual by William Lee Rand, and Amazing Grace by David Wolfe and Nick Good that I’m dipping into and reading and making notes on.

And there’s whole groat oatmeal cooking on the stove and almonds sprouting in the cupboard and cacao nibs in the pantry and matcha in the fridge, just itching to be used!

The list goes on and on. It’s very exciting and expansive. There aren’t enough hours in the day to fit in all I want to do and I’m loving it!

What changes are you making in your life? Are those changes taking you in the direction you desire? Are they aligned with your overall goals?

Best of health, naturally,
Nina
