Calcium-Containing Foods

Calcium is one of the most important minerals that we need to get into our bodies through our diets, and, luckily, it’s available in a lot of our regular shopping baskets. Take this group of foods, for instance.

Starting in the upper left-hand corner and going clockwise, there is milk (calcium is better absorbed from milk that has some fat in it), Cheddar cheese, a tin of salmon with the bones in, leeks (all vegetables have a certain amount of calcium), yogurt, apple cider vinegar and a NOW Foods calcium-magnesium supplement (the vinegar helps to create the acidic environment in the gut that facilitates the absorption of calcium more easily), carrots, a tin of sardines,  feta cheese, soy beans, broccoli, Brazil nuts, and to the right of them, sunflower seeds, and adzuki beans.

Create a diet from these foods and supplements and you would certainly get your requirement of calcium that day!
