Through the power of advertising, many previously unknown words are being added to our lexicon on a daily basis ~ like antioxidants and probiotics and fructooligosaccharides. I hear them being bandied about by people that I didn’t expect to know such words or to be interested. But I wonder if their meaning is as clear.
